Hello, I'm Sarah A. Bonito (she/her).
Hello, Aloha, Hola, Shalom, Bonjour, Halo, Hallo! I am a multi-sport adventure athlete who began with humble roots of family camping and swimming in cold water, then eventually discovered a deeper desire to join team sport, competing both as a teammate and solo. I have competed in sprint- and endurance-distance races both on the water and on land, and explored parts of the world I never imagined as a kid. My biggest endurance win on the water has been the Everglades Challenge, paddling nearly 300 miles offshore over 5.5 days in an expedition sea kayak. This is a closely tied experience with SCUBA diving the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and swimming with Whale Sharks in Mexico. On land, my greatest accomplishments are navigating 12- and 18-hour adventure races and also bagging (hiking) nine 14'ers (14,000' mountains) in Colorado over the course of a week. I have worked in various facets across education, technology, adoption and change management, and the service industry. I have been an adult educator in the corporate world, and love seeing the shifts of joy when my clients and students achieve new heights. My sports include (*asterisk = some of my current favorites!): - Water: Outrigger canoe*, surfski*, expedition sea kayak, river canoe, rowing / coxswain, snorkeling*, SCUBA - Land: Hiking, trail running, acroyoga, barefoot running*, rollerblading, cycling (mountain, gravel*, bikepacking) - Adventure racing: Combination of trail running, paddling, biking, and navigating with map & compass / orienteering in a single endurance event Whether you desire guidance exploring land, water, mountains, bike trails, or another natural space that is outside the home, I am here for it. Your goals do not need to be epic - we can start small with something close to home; whichever adventure you seek, I'm here to help! I look forward to meeting you, and helping you prepare for and achieve your adventure goals! In peace, Sarah :)
